It recognises employers with more than 1,5000 employees that succeeded in improving and supporting the financial wellbeing and education of their workforce during 2024.

The full category shortlist is:

  • Arriva
  • Asda
  • Babcock
  • Central Co-op
  • Experian
  • Housing 21
  • Next
  • PepsiCo UK&I
  • Serco
  • Superdrug

At the 2024 Employee Benefits Awards, the award was won by Co-op, due to its trial of a workplace savings scheme that opted employees in by default in order to help staff build their financial resilience. They were auto-enrolled to pay in £40 of their salary each pay period into a rainy day pot. The scheme was supported with access to educational resources on savings and themed education sessions run by financial coaches.

The judges said: “This was a very innovative submission which displayed a great strategy and clearly demonstrated success.”

The Employee Benefits Awards provides the opportunity to recognise and celebrate reward, benefits and HR industry professionals driving excellence through their reward and benefits strategies.

The 23rd annual awards ceremony will be held at the Honourable Artillery Company, London on 27 June. The daytime event will include a drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment and the chance to network with industry professionals.
