Mervyn Dinnen (pictured), blogger, and content and social engagement strategist, will speak about social media and its role in engaging employees in the opening keynote session on the second day of Employee Benefits Live.
The session, ‘Social media to engage top talent’, will provide an overview of social media, including how it has grown, and how it fits in with talent attraction and retention.
Dinnen said: “What I really want to spell out is that it’s not just a Millennials thing. It’s the way employers communicate with their customers, it’s the way they communicate with collaborators and it’s the way their employees want to interact with them.”
The session will also cover how employers can use social media to encourage employees to be brand advocates and provide tips on how to encourage employees to participate in an organisation’s online story.
“[It is about] how to get the organisation’s story and culture out across different channels,” said Dinnen. “I will talk about developing a blogging culture for employees who might want to talk about the business in their own words.”
Employee Benefits Live will be held at Olympia National in London on 24 and 25 September 2014.
