Post Office has appointed Juliet Crisp as its new head of people strategy, planning, and governance as of this month.
With experience in HR leadership, talent development strategies and impactful people change initiatives, Crisp will be supporting the Post Office’s new people strategy that focuses on employee experience, capability and inclusion, and its broader cultural transformation strategy.
She will also work on its commitment to create a workplace culture that encourages employees to explore new ideas and take proactive steps in their roles, and foster a supportive working environment.
The aim of the Post Office’s new strategies is to ensure that all employees are aligned with its goals and are empowered to contribute to its success.
Her most recent role at Whitbread saw her develop and implement its talent strategy while she led HR for SSP Group’s UK office, focusing on enhancing business performance through effective people strategies. Crisp spent 25 years at Tesco, culminating as head of human resources for online and customer fulfilment, where she managed large-scale HR functions and drove significant organisational change.
Crisp said: “I am excited to join the Post Office at such a pivotal time in its history. The introduction of our new business-wide people strategy marks a significant step in our cultural transformation journey. By fostering curiosity, accountability, and support within our teams, and focusing on employee experience, we are not only strengthening our internal culture but also enhancing the service we provide to postmasters and customers alike. I look forward to working with employees to help drive positive change across the organisation.”
Karen McEwan, group chief people officer at the Post Office, added: “Juliet’s deep expertise in HR transformation and her passion for talent development are exactly what we need as we embark on this new chapter. Her leadership will be instrumental in driving our cultural change initiatives, ensuring we continue to support and engage with our people effectively.”
