Employee Benefits poll: Around a fifth (18%) of respondents are demonstrating their support for Mental Health Awareness Week (8-14 May 2017) by communicating relevant employee benefits to staff.
A poll of www.employeebenefits.co.uk readers, which received 33 responses, also found that more than a third (36%) of employer respondents are not running any initiatives to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.
A further 15% of respondents are hosting dedicated mental health awareness events for employees, 3% are partnering with charities, and more than a quarter (27%) of respondents are conducting two or more of these initiatives.
Mental Health Awareness Week is an annual event, coordinated by the Mental Health Foundation. This year’s theme is ‘Surviving or thriving?’, which includes a focus on the difference between surviving and thriving, why there are not more people thriving with good mental health, and what can be done to support mental health and build resilience.
