Swindon bus drivers employed by Stagecoach have accepted a pay deal worth more than 17% following a dispute over wages.
The employees, who are members of trade union Unite, will see their pay increase by more than 11% in the first year and by a total of 6% in the second year. The deal also includes the introduction of an overtime rate and improvements to sick pay.
The two-year agreement was achieved after the workers voted to accept the deal. Talks between staff and Stagecoach management took place during June and a new offer was made. Potential strike action was halted while employees voted on the offer.
Last month, a total of 55% of the employees took part in a strike ballot, with 85% voting in favour of it. Industrial action had been planned for 19, 20 and 21 July, but will no longer take place.
