Commercialisation partner for the biopharmaceutical, medical technology, and wellness industries Fishawack Health has reported a gender pay gap of 0.33%.
The report found that of the 450 employees eligible for the calculation, 277 (61.5%) were women and 173 (38.5%) were men.
The organisation’s gender pay gap is much lower than the 5.45% 2022 mean gender pay gap according to the government’s November 2022 DIT gender pay gap report 2021 to 2022. It calculated the difference between men and women’s average hourly pay, with the median at 9.71%.
The gender pay gap is a measure of the average earnings between all men and all women within an organisation. This is the second year that Fishawack Health executed a gender pay gap analysis on its UK employees due to the mandatory requirement for employers with more than 250 workers to share their salary report.
Following the publication of the report, Fishawack Health is planning to execute an organisation-wide gender pay gap report across all of its 1,600 employees worldwide.
Sheena Amin-Liebman, global head of diversity and inclusion for Fishawack Health, said: “Fishawack Health regularly review salaries to ensure equal pay and conduct a general analysis to highlight discrepancies. The Fishawack Health gender pay gap report is one of the most important inclusion metrics we track. We are extremely proud of what we’ve achieved, but there is more work to do. We will continue to close the gap in a variety of ways and strive for an absolute zero gap.”
Fishawack Health offers its employees flexible and mobile working, mental health first aiders, fertility assistance, financial benefits and a health and wellness programme that, depending on location, includes medical plan and healthcare options, private health insurance, dental and vision care, life insurance, and short-term and long-term disability coverage.
