EXCLUSIVE: Pay and mental health will be among the the unmissable topics discussed at Employee Benefits Live 2021.
Trish Wanat (pictured right), director of Europe, Middle East and Africa benefits at VMware, will be co-presenting ‘Pay policies that reflect the changing world of work’ along with VMware’s director of regional compensation Ian Wright on Wednesday 6 October.
The presentation will focus on adapting compensation and benefit packages for employees who work from home, introducing additional pay zones, and adjusting pay packages to reflect employees’ work location. It will also detail VMware’s new employee flexibility, wellbeing and pay strategies for the future.
“We will cover how we have adapted compensation and benefits policies, such as the introduction of more pay zones, how we adjust pay when employees move work location and the shift of benefits focus towards wellbeing. We will be sharing our transformation journey with attendees, hoping that it will resonate with many and inform and inspire anyone who is considering going down a similar path,” Wanat said.
Meanwhile, Victoria Anthony (pictured left), group human resources director at Galliard Homes, will be participating in a panel talk on Thursday 7 October.
Titled ‘Creating and sustaining emotionally resilient workforces’, the session will focus on embedding cultural norms to breakdown stigmas, signposting support with mental health first aiders and exploring innovative ways to boost the resilience and agility.
Anthony explained that she “hopes that people will leave with a variety of ideas from a cross-section of industries and some practical guidance on how to implement them".
Other speakers on the panel include Claire Pittaway, head of employer brand and communications at Sky Betting and Gaming, and Claire Timmins, human resources director at Ipsos Mori.
Both sessions will provide delegates with detailed information on the topics, as well as practical learnings from Wanat and Anthony’s own experiences.
Employee Benefits Live 2021 will take place on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 October 2021 at ExCeL London.
