Insurance business Atradius has awarded its 426 members of staff a £1,600 payment, in order to support them during the cost-of-living crisis.

The insurer noted that 99% of its employees across the UK and Ireland, including its headquarters in Cardiff, are eligible for the payment. This includes graduates, interns and those on temporary contracts, with the only exceptions being executive managers.

The one-off payment will be made in October 2022, and has been introduced in addition to normal inflation and performance-based pay increases, which are offered annually.

In April 2022, Atradius gave the majority of its staff between a 4.75% and a 7.25% pay rise.

Stuart Ramsden, regional director of Atradius in the UK and Ireland, said: “The team at Atradius are on the frontlines helping our customers with navigating a turbulent economy amid the cost-of-living crisis. But we know that this is a challenging time for them, too.

“That’s why we’re supporting them and their families financially where we can, and we’ll be continuing to look for ways we can do this going forward such as our 50% price reduction staff restaurant in the UK Headquarters.

“I’d like to sincerely thank everyone for their hard work and team spirit during these times, and I hope this payment shows a token of my appreciation.”
