Pastry products producer Addo Food Group has awarded a group of its long-standing employees with a cash bonus or vouchers of their choice.
The cash bonus or vouchers have been awarded as a result of 31 members of staff having worked collectively for the organisation for 630 years at its Palethorpes Bakery site in Shropshire.
Additionally, a further 32 employees at its Dorset Foods and Poole Bakery sites in the south west of England were awarded for their long service, as well as a total of 164 employees across its Riverside and Tottle bakeries, and its central team in Nottingham.
Employees have hit milestones of 10, 20, 30, 40 and more years of service, all of which have a different cash bonus or voucher value. Employees with 10 years of service will receive £100, £250 for 20 years, £500 for 30 years and £700 for 40 years.
Out of the 2,400 permanent members of staff across the business, Addo said it has 118 workers reaching their key work milestones this year. It recently celebrated the fiftieth work anniversary of Alan Burton, who works at the Palethorpes factory.
Deborah Bolton, chief executive officer of Addo Food Group, commented on how fantastic it is to see so many long-standing members of staff within Addo’s sites.
“We’re delighted to have awarded more than 220 employees with a nice treat. The awards are a great opportunity for us to say thank you to our staff for their loyalty, hard work and many years of service. They’re a true testament to Addo and we’re honoured to have such a dedicated team.”
