A team from recruitment firm Omega Resource Group has raised over £4,000 for the Help for Heroes charity by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

Directors James Strickland, Ray Pugh and manager Ashley Moore began their trek up the 5,896 metre mountain on 11 February and reached the summit on 17 February.

James Strickland, group director at Omega, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have conquered Kilimanjaro.

“There was a true sense of camaraderie on the trek and a remarkable sense of personal achievement for us when we made the summit – I have honestly never felt anything like it.

“We are very proud to have raised so much money for Help for Heroes. It is an incredible charity, and one that we wholeheartedly support here at Omega, so it is great to know we have made a contribution to the cause.”
