O2 launches £10 million bonus programme for 6,700 staff

O2 launches incentive reward scheme for 6,700 employees

Telecommunications organisation O2 has introduced a £10 million employee bonus scheme to incentivise its 6,700 employees.

Its See What You Can Do incentive programme, which will use metrics from customer growth, allows employees to work towards receiving a £1,500 bonus payment.

The target is split between two six-month periods, which will run from 1 July to 31 December 2020 and 1 January to 30 June 2021.

The bonus scheme is open to all O2 and Giffgaff employees. If they reach their targets, employees can ‘bank’ 50% of the bonus payment after the first target period.

To motivate employees, the organisation will send out monthly updates so employees can track their progress.

Mark Evans, chief executive at O2, said: “This is the perfect time to reward our people for going the extra mile and continuing to deliver for our customers, as we help get Britain back on its feet during the ongoing pandemic.

“The reaction from our people to this exciting new scheme has been fantastic and everyone is motivated to do the very best for customers, and our business.”
