Employee Benefits’ webinar, Embedding empathy in recognition: Getting to the heart of workplace engagement, sponsored by Boostworks, is now available to watch on demand.
The webinar was broadcast on 22 October at 11.00am.
Debbie Lovewell-Tuck, editor of Employee Benefits, was joined by Jo Werker, chief executive officer of Boostworks, Ian Hodson, director of people and culture at Housing 21 and Tom Holliss, chief people officer at Zappi, for an in-depth discussion into what employees want from recognition in the workplace.
The expert panel considered how employers can create a personalised approach to recognition and the employee experience. The conversation explored empathy in recognition, and whether the notion can be applied throughout a diverse workforce that can include up to four generations of workers.
The panel discussed points raised by attendees such as how to link recognition to reward, and which metrics can be used to measure the impact of recognition programmes on performance and engagement.
The webinar concluded with the panel sharing examples of the direct correlation between recognition and employee engagement.
