The Planet Mark – provider of the internationally recognised sustainability certification standard for business – has appointed Angela Murray-Brown as its first people and culture manager.

In her new role, Murray-Brown – who has a MSc in occupational and organisational psychology – will be responsible for supporting and empowering employees to bring their whole selves to work. Her appointment comes following significant headcount growth at The Planet Mark which has seen it doubled in the past 12 months.

Murray-Brown previously spent eight years at Thompson Reuters, where she held numerous talent management and talent development roles. More recently, she was a freelance business psychologist, helping clients with their change management, organisational design, performance management, talent management, and diversity and inclusion strategies.

Commenting on the appointment, Lilly Miller, chief financial officer at The Planet Mark, said: “Our new people and culture manager will help us promote happiness, equality and employee satisfaction across our organisation and will ensure our valuable company culture is nurtured and protected as we continue to expand and become a role model for our membership community.”
