Tesco Group has rewarded more than 300,000 employees with a voucher as part of the Clubcard’s 30-year anniversary.
The £30 thank-you gift, which has been activated in employees’ Tesco apps, celebrates the launch of the supermarket’s first loyalty card in February 1995.
Staff can exchange the voucher with one of Tesco’s Clubcard reward partners.
Shama Wilson, Tesco Group membership and loyalty director, said: “Our [employees] have been a key part of the success of Clubcard, doing everything from signing up new members and helping answer their queries, to reminding shoppers to use their Clubcard at the checkout.
“With that in mind we wanted to give them a little extra thank you for the role they have played helping Clubcard deliver more for our customers today and over the past three decades.”
