Global field service management organisation ServiceMax has recruited Sophie Ames as its new chief human resources officer for the whole business, including its UK office.
Ames, who joins the California, US-based business as it prepares to list on Nasdaq, brings 20 years of international HR experience to the company.
Before joining ServiceMax, Ames was the senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Veritas Technologies. In her new role, Ames will oversee the business' human capital strategy, with a brief to empower all teams to do their best work, amplify the employee experience, and build an agile HR organisation capable of meeting the demands of a growing business. She will also play a key part in advancing diversity and inclusion goals and objectives at ServiceMax.
Neil Barua, chief executive, ServiceMax, said he is “excited” that Ames was joining the business as it embarks on its next stage of growth, adding that ServiceMax believes its employees are its “greatest asset”.
“Sophie’s impressive background overseeing the HR strategy for vast international workforces will be an incredible asset to ServiceMax, especially as we move forward as a public company,” he said.
Ames said she is “thrilled” to join ServiceMax and looking forward to working with a leadership team commited to building a place where all voices are represented and heard.
She added: “The company is positioned for amazing growth, and I welcome the opportunity to help scale through progressive human capital strategies, as ServiceMax embarks on this new chapter.”
