Financial services firm ING has appointed a new head of HR for the UK and Middle East.
Elena Orsini started in the role this month (April), will be based in London and responsible for 800 full-time employees across the two regions.
She has nearly 25 years’ experience in HR. Most recently she was head of HR at Kleinwort Hambros Private Bank, part of Société Générale Group, where she was responsible for the management and development of human capital across the UK, Jersey, Guernsey, and Gibraltar/
A core remit of her new role will be developing, implementing and executing the UK HR strategy and processes for ING, plus to ensure all initiatives comply with local legislation and regulations.
Another key area of focus will diversity and inclusion, in particular promoting an inclusive culture within the bank, said ING.
Priorities here include fostering a culture of collaboration, performance, and innovation, contributing to the diversity and inclusion agenda, identifying and developing talent and expanding leadership capability across the organisation, ING added.
