Lloyds Banking Group, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service and Mars UK are among the winners of the 2025 Menopause and Menstruation Friendly Employer Awards.
The awards celebrate organisations and individuals whose commitment and determination have successfully provided support, solutions and resources that normalise menopause in the workplace, and have proved lifechanging for staff and communities.
Three regional events ran simultaneously in Nottingham, London and Liverpool.
The winners of the Menopause Friendly Employer of the Year award were HSBC UK, including First Direct and M and S Bank, London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. AtkinsRéalis and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service were highly commended.
The winners of the Most Menopause Friendly Working Environment award were Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, and Mars UK, while Kent Police was highly commended.
The winner of the Most Open Culture (Menopause) award was AtkinsRéalis, while AMEX GBT, Battersea and City of Wolverhampton Council were highly commended. Meanwhile, Lloyds Banking Group and Huddersfield Town Association Football Club won the award for Most Open Culture (Menstruation).
Deborah Garlick, chief executive officer of Menopause Friendly by Henpicked, said: “This year’s awards saw more entries than ever before and an outstanding quality of work. The passion and determination of individuals have clearly been matched by the commitment of their employers to take action and change their culture to create a menopause and menstruation friendly workplace.
“Embedding this year’s awards in three regional knowledge and networking events allowed our members to come together as a community, listen and learn from each other. I would like to thank all our members for their commitment to being menopause and menstruation friendly: the difference they’re making is truly lifechanging for their staff today and for generations to come.”
