Linklaters has introduced a stress management policy and an employee assistance programme (EAP) to support employees’ psychological welfare. The EAP, provided by Axa Icas, offers face-to-face and telephone counselling.

The law firm has also set up a steering committee to ensure the stress measures are aligned with its business goals. The committee comprises HR stakeholders, law partners, and stakeholders who oversee management of the organisation’s internal risks.

David Jones, reward and benefits manager at Linklaters, said: “We are aware there are taboos around psychological issues and stress and we are eager to have a more open and supportive approach on this kind of thing.”
