Zuto

Fintech Zuto has achieved ISO 45003 certification for psychological health and safety in the workplace.

ISO 45003 is an international wellbeing standard for managing psychosocial risks and promoting mental health and wellbeing at work.

As part of the accreditation process, Zuto worked with its employees to develop and update key policies. These included change management, enhanced caregiver leave, fertility support, wellbeing intervention and neurodiversity support.

Doing this helped the firm to build a robust framework for managing psychosocial risks, allowing it to proactively improve how it handles communication, recognition, manager support and change.

The certification is part of Zuto’s commitment to developing robust structures, processes and policies that uphold the highest standards of employee care.

Mary Beighton, people and culture director at Zuto, said: “Nurturing a fast-paced, high-growth environment comes with the responsibility to balance high performance expectations with wellbeing. That’s why looking after our Zutonites has always been a core priority. This accreditation represents two years of work dedicated to evolving and embedding a scalable approach to wellness that reaches every corner of Zuto. It’s about considering risks and ensuring our people have the right support in place to create an environment where they can thrive.

“By meeting the ISO 45003 standard, we’re demonstrating a duty of care to our people. When the psychological health of our team is supported, it directly impacts positive customer outcomes, employee retention and engagement, overall performance and long-term business sustainability.”

Zuto offers its employees a pension scheme, life insurance, income protection, a health cash plan, an employee assistance programme, discounted gym membership, discounted parking, a bikes-for-work scheme, financial education and personalised financial advice from an independent financial adviser who visits the offices every two months. It also has several mental health first aiders across the business.
