Komedia Media is to introduce free period products for staff in its workplace.
Through the Bloody Good Employers (BGE) scheme, Komedia Media will provide its employees with period products and the knowledge to support their menstrual health and wellbeing, through to perimenopause and menopause. Employees will also be able to access workshops, education on destigmatising menstruation and HR support to improve workplace menstrual equity.
BGE has partnered with period product businesses Dame, Freda, Daye, Ruby Cup, Modibodi, Unfabled and Here We Flo as part of the scheme, in order to showcase the variety of menstrual products available to employers and allow them to choose which one they want to introduce to their workplace. Komedia Media employees can access Dame products in bathrooms on site from this month.
A Komedia Media spokesperson said: “We’re very happy to be able to provide free period products for our staff to use as and when they need them. Finding a contractor to supply period products, alongside a relevant charity to partner this with, was something we’d been considering for some time. A member of staff saw one of Bloody Good Period’s posts on Instagram and after looking into it, we felt we aligned with the charity’s values.
“As for choosing Dame, the fact that its products are sustainably and ethically produced and distributed, as well the system wherein it donates money back to Bloody Good Period alongside the fact our staff can access products at a discounted rate, made it the right choice for us.”
