JTF Mega Discount Warehouses launches employee assistance programme

Retail store JTF Mega Discount Warehouses has introduced an employee assistance programme (EAP) to further support the wellbeing of its 500 employees during the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic and beyond.

The programme, provided by Westfield Health, offers employees access to professional advice across a range of issues, including stress, depressions, financial wellbeing, medical concerns and bereavement.

The service, introduced in January 2021, is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is accessible from phones or via the web.

In addition, the organisation has committed to job growth and has announced plans to open new stores and hire an additional 1,400 employees in the next five years.

Mike Hinchcliffe, chief operating officer at JTF Mega Discount Warehouses, said: “We are really pleased to have partnered with Westfield Health to offer all of our staff access to the EAP. Our people are the beating heart of our organisation, and their wellbeing is of the utmost importance to JTF Mega Discount Warehouses.

“We are living through challenging times, and our commitment to the welfare of everybody in the family will be enhanced by the introduction of the programme, which we encourage any employee to use should they need it and will be a permanent feature of the organisations' offering well beyond the Coronavirus pandemic.”
