Gympass, the UK’s leading corporate fitness platform, has expanded its UK offering for employees by adding Personal Training to its suite of services.

Employers who partner with Gympass can now offer their employees up to eight online Personal Training sessions a month as part of their membership. The inclusion of Personal Training completes Gympass’ swift and comprehensive pivot to deliver digital services enabling members to stay active whilst gyms and studios remain closed or are forced to limit their usual level of service.

Prior to lock down, the Gympass model comprised giving access to employee members to over 2,000 fitness facilities across the UK including the likes of DW Fitness First and Bannatyne Health Clubs. When gyms closed, Gympass was quick to act to deliver an online solution offering a diverse range of options including a collection of world-renowned apps, such as FIIT and Healing Clouds. This enabled HR managers to cascade wellness solutions to its employees and include mental and financial well-being solutions alongside activity for physical well-being. Not only did these additional services bridge the gap for many companies, they are here to stay adding immense value for its corporate partners.

The final piece of the fitness jigsaw was personal training. “As we focus primarily on getting inactive people started on their fitness journey, it’s very fitting that we should bring personal training within their reach,” says Luke Bullen, Gympass CEO UK/IE. “People want to stay active in different ways and offering personal training completes our suite of services to fulfill our mission of defeating inactivity.”

Gympass has already seen over 8,000 sessions booked since the launch of personal training in its Brazil and US markets, 97% of which received a 5-star rating from users. Users can choose from an array of different personal training sessions - from general fitness, to yoga, Pilates, nutrition and more.

“We have partnered with some fantastic personal trainers and, based on the successful trials, we expect the demand to be high in the UK,” says Luke. “Personal training can be unaffordable for some, but our inclusion of this option in our employee membership program provides access for our corporate partners. 1:1 training is also a great way to find motivation and encouragement for those who might otherwise be worried about joining a group class or going to a gym,” continued Luke.

Personal Training is included in the standard Gympass memberships, and accessing a session is extremely easy. Members simply need to sign in on the App or head online and then search by Personal Training, their availability and their range of different services and specialist areas.
