Emma Andrews, global payroll and reward specialist (pictured right), and Alex Strang, wellbeing manager (pictured left) at shoe brand Fitflop, will present a wellbeing workshop at Employee Benefits Live 2023.
Titled Feel Good at Fitflop: Why we prioritise employee wellbeing, the workshop will take place on Tuesday 3 October in Theatre Two at 1.30pm.
Part of the conference’s health and wellbeing stream, it will cover why being smart, committed and authentic can be more important than cost, how culture can turbo charge engagement and how retention, engagement and happiness can impact wellbeing.
The duo plan to detail a small section of the benefits the organisation offers that they feel really help with employees’ wellbeing and explain why employers do not have to spend a lot to offer good benefits.
“We will be covering how we prioritise employee wellbeing and why this is not just a tick-box exercise for us,” Andrews said. “We feel it is our duty to our employees to provide them with the tools [so] that they can be the best version of themselves, and in turn, we get the best out of them. We will explain how we offer benefits that are really going to engage our employees and show them that we are committed to retain really great talent.”
She adds delegates attending the session will take away the idea that prioritising employee wellbeing is a benefit for employers as well.
“It doesn’t have to cost a huge amount of money to be able to offer great things, sometimes it’s always the smaller things that really make a difference,” Andrews said.
Employee Benefits Live 2023 is Europe’s largest dedicated reward and benefits event for the HR and reward industry and will take place on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 October 2023 at ExCeL London.
