EXCLUSIVE: Access to an on-site physiotherapist or massage therapist increased by 24 percentage points between 2018 and 2019, according to research by Employee Benefits.
The Benefits research 2019 report, which surveyed 290 HR decision-makers and was published in May 2019, also found that access to subsidised catering has risen by 16 percentage points.
The top of the list of on-site services, however, was occupied by new additions to this year’s survey: fitness classes or facilities (49%) and mindfulness, yoga or meditation (48%).
Although the practice of providing on-site doctors is growing, and dentistry remains steadily popular, the overall results show that employers are predominantly focused on providing lifestyle perks in-house.
This may reflect a move to a more preventative, proactive approach to employee wellness.
