Friends Provident employees have helped to raise money for the charity Brain Tumour UK in memory of Friends Provident's former managing director UK, Simon Champ, who died earlier this year.
The 32-mile 'Walking for Simon' charity event took place on 27 June and has so far raised £13,715 of a desired total of £15,000.
Trevor Matthews, chief executive officer of Friends Provident, said: “Simon was a great man and a close personal friend. He is dearly missed by his family, friends and colleagues.
“This charity walk gives us the opportunity to do something positive in his memory and hopefully to raise money for Brain Tumor UK so it can continue the great work it is doing to fight this cancer.”
