Travers Smith and Wood shortlisted

Law firm Travers Smith and project, engineering, and technical services business Wood have been shortlisted for Best flexible benefits plan at the Employee Benefits Awards 2023.

This category was created to recognise a successful strategy that has effectively delivered a flexible benefits plan. This can include plans that operate within a set enrolment period, as well as any-time enrolment.

The full category shortlist is:

  • Leonardo
  • The Phoenix Group
  • Travers Smith
  • Wood

BNP Paribas won the award in 2022 as a result of its overarching benefits strategy, which had the same look and feel across multiple entities, was suitable for a diverse workforce, was easily accessible and available to all on the same terms, and gave as much flexibility as possible. Through its flexible benefits system Spectrum, it added support for neurodiversity to its private medical insurance (PMI) plan and a wellbeing initiative, giving employees £250 to spend on their and their families’ wellbeing.

A BNP Paribas spokesperson said: “We work across nine different group entities so there’s a big team of us. It’s great to get the recognition. We are pleased to have won Best flexible benefits plan because we have over 40 benefits and our nine entities have different variations of benefits. There’s a lot of work that goes into it.”

The Employee Benefits Awards, which is in its 21st year and celebrates those driving excellence through their reward and benefits strategies, will be held at the Honourable Artillery Company, London on Friday 23 June.

The daytime event will include a drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment and the chance to network with industry professionals. The after-party will include live music, dodgems, a carousel and a big wheel in the venue’s private grounds.
