Whatever size they may be, every organisation wants to look after its staff, to help them where they can and ensure they are resourced, equipped, invested in and happy within their work-life. But for many charities, community groups and voluntary organisations, the cost implications of these extra commitments can simply be a bridge too far.

Having been operating for over 25 years, this is an all too familiar challenge for The Money Charity team!

That’s why we’re delighted to have partners and funding in place which allows us to offer our financial wellbeing workshops to charities and community organisations on a fully-funded or match-funded basis. We have a wealth of experience and expertise delivering workshops to beneficiaries, front-line staff or volunteers, enabling charitable employers to invest in their teams and service users at no additional cost, as well as inspiring those passionate about financial issues to step into volunteering opportunities to further spread the word within their communities.

We work on a daily basis with a broad and diverse range of people, cultures and capabilities, from refugee groups to the homeless, offenders to carers, as well as those who work and volunteer with them. Whoever it may be, we bring an ultimately positive message: that everyone can be in control of their finances and develop a positive relationship with money regardless of age, stage, background or situations. We believe that getting to grips with money means people will be happier and less likely to suffer from the stress and anxiety caused by financial worries.

Our high-quality training aims to empower people with the skills, attitudes, knowledge and behaviours they need to take control of their finances and manage their money well throughout their lives. All our workshops/webinars are independent and delivered by our team of financial capability consultants throughout the UK, and attendees will never be offered financial products or services during or after our workshops.

We currently have two types of workshop available:

Two-Hour Financial Wellbeing Workshop - Accessible to people with all levels of financial understanding and covering topics such as: spending priorities, budgeting, money saving tips, financial products, savings, planning for the future, and where to go for support with debt.

One-Day Practitioner Workshop – Designed specifically for people in a front-line role, supporting others with their financial wellbeing. The session provides delegates with the confidence and skills to signpost effectively, answer basic financial questions, help another person prepare a budget, and ensure they use an accessible and non-judgemental approach.

In addition to this, we also have our Community Volunteer Programme, which enables employers to offer their staff the opportunity to deliver our workshops in a community environment. It’s a great option to free up your employees to use their personal skills and experience with money while further developing their presentation and communication abilities.

Whichever option you prefer, we will gladly work with you in advance to get a clear understanding of the specific needs of your audience, so that we can tailor the workshops accordingly.

Whether you work directly with a charity or community group, know someone who does, or even are connected with a cause you feel passionately about, we would love to make contact with any organisation who would like to start a conversation about how we can help them in the difference they are already making.

If you’d like to make a booking, find out more, or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us on hello@themoneycharity.org.uk or 0207 062 8933.
