Asda, Suez, Next and Brakes are among the employers participating in a campaign to support their employees through the financial pressures of winter and help them build positive financial behaviours for the New Year.
The Winter Warmers campaign, which will be delivered through Wagestream’s financial benefits platform, began this week. Its intention is to offer support to employees on issues such as steeper energy bills, heightened inflation and higher interest rates during the festive season.
The campaign will also help employees to spend smarter, save more and budget better. This will be achieved through personalised money coaching, access to workplace savings, and exclusive discounts with hundreds of retailers including Nike, Sky and Sainsbury’s.
Andrew Jurd, head of retail HR at Next, said: “The cost of Christmas continues to rise each year, and we understand that financial concerns can leave employees feeling stressed, anxious, and preoccupied. This campaign will help to support our team by highlighting existing benefits, introducing new perks, and providing guidance to help them save, budget, and spend better over the festive period and beyond.”
Michelle Sutton, head of reward and pensions at Suez, added: “Financial wellbeing support is important all year round, but with the festive season comes increased financial pressure. Joining this campaign was a no-brainer, as it will not only give our employees increased financial support, but also encourage positive habits to build long-term financial health.”
