Fair Care is to add a payroll-giving scheme to its voluntary benefits portal, Benefit Select, early next year once it has been granted HM Revenue and Customs’ approval.
Staff will be able to save to a charity bank by making regular or ad-hoc payments to charities of their choice. The payments can be deducted from gross pay, saving on tax, but not national insurance. Philip Curtis, managing director of benefits provider Fair Care, said: “This is a great opportunity to increase the success and penetration of payroll giving across the UK.”
