EXCLUSIVE: UK-based charity Action for Children has launched a new benefits platform for its 7,000 employees, carers and volunteers.

The platform, provided by Xexec, was implemented on 1 July 2019, in order to better support the Action for Children’s recruitment and retention goals.

The platform, which can be accessed via a mobile device, offers three separate portals, one for UK staff, one for the charity’s carers and another for its volunteer population. This enables those who work at Action for Children to access more than 3,000 retail discounts, available online and in-store using re-loadable cards, instant e-vouchers or cashback, as well as a lifestyle concierge service.

The new mobile hub replaces Action for Children’s existing voluntary benefits programme, with the goal of creating a more user-friendly and easily accessible package.

The platform was communicated to staff, carers and volunteers using internet banners, on-site posters, an email campaign, intranet content and a staff competition.

Mike Knight, chief people officer at Action for Children, said: “The design and usability of Xexec’s portal made [it] the obvious choice for this project.

“I’m delighted that we can offer an extra benefit to our staff, volunteers and carers, who are crucial to our work.”
