EXCLUSIVE: Tim Robertson, Europe, Middle East and Africa compensation and benefits lead for Microsoft, will be participating in a panel talk about HR and benefits strategies on Thursday 7 October at Employee Benefits Live 2021.
The discussion, titled ‘Reimagining the future of work and benefits’, will focus on strategising the future of benefits for a hybrid working world, creating and implementing new plans that work for employees and the business, and utilising data effectively to track the impact of new rewards for remote workers.
Taking place on the second day of the two-day conference, as a member of the panel Robertson intends to provide delegates with interesting and relevant discourse, as well as practical learnings from his own experience at Microsoft. He is also planning to encourage a roundtable discussion to find examples of what has worked at organisations around hybrid working.
“I expect a big focus of the discussions to be around diversity and inclusion, and continuing to advance this agenda while also adjusting to the new way of working. I will share our own experience, as Microsoft have created a hybrid policy, and are now just adjusting our benefits strategy to provide a more consistent experience across office and remote workers,” he said.
Robertson explained that he believes attendees can learn some practical tips in supporting employees and managers navigate this new world.
“They can also take away some of the key elements of benefits strategies that rewards and benefits professionals should be thinking both through and about,” he added.
This panel discussion will also include Josephina Smith, reward director at YouGov and Dommy Szymanska, global head of pay and reward at Stella McCartney.
Employee Benefits Live 2021 will take place on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 October 2021 at ExCeL London.
