Ernst & Young has seen a rise in the take-up of its maternity coaching webinars since they were launched in February 2011.
The coaching covers all stages of pre and post-maternity, and help staff manage the transition in and out of the workplace successfully. So far, 500 employees have booked into the webinars.
The webinars are part of Talking Talent, an independent coaching consultancy that runs maternity and paternity programmes. Talking Talent has been delivering a range of maternity coaching programmes for the firm’s employees.
Liz Bingham, people partner at Ernst and Young, said, “The maternity coaching webinars are very accessible, interactive and cost effective, and they seem to really encourage open and candid discussions, and information sharing.
“The feedback has focused on how employees have benefited from sharing their experiences, the high-quality information and tips they received from others, and how much they learned from the collective insight of the groups.”
Chris Parke, chief executive officer of Talking Talent, added: “The webinar format is proving popular as it enables organisations to roll out consistent coaching to employees globally.
“The online sessions are cost-effective and, in spite of popular belief, they encourage open discussion. They are ideal for organisations that want to deliver interactive, group-based coaching to their employees and managers.”
