Online auction giant eBay has announced the appointment of Cornelius Boone to SVP, chief people officer – a role that will see him responsible for all elements of HR internationally.
His initial remit will be to drive business performance, talent development and acquisition, learning and development strategies, compensation and benefits, HR shared services, and people tools and technologies. Formerly at American Airlines, Boone has nearly 15 years’ HR experience, having also been VP of HR at Walmart.
Commenting on his new role, Boone said: “eBay has one of the strongest, purpose-driven, cultures I’ve encountered and its desire and drive to create economic opportunity for all is truly an inspiration.”
