XPO Logistics salary sacrifice

Logistics solutions provider XPO Logistics has launched an electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid salary sacrifice arrangement for its UK employees.

Through the scheme, which is provided by vehicle leasing firm Arval, employees will be able to access competitively priced cars, which saving on income tax and national insurance contributions. Additionally, the scheme covers all insurance and maintenance costs.

By choosing electric or hybrid cars, employees can contribute to reduced carbon emissions and support eco-friendly commuting solutions. The scheme aligns with XPO’s sustainability goals, and its commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050, enriching employee benefits and advancing environmental stewardship.

The scheme is open to all permanent XPO Logistics staff with at least six months' continuous service, who are aged 19 years or older, have at least one year of driving experience with a UK or EU license, and meet specific driving record criteria. They can apply through an online portal, where they will undergo a national minimum wage check to confirm their eligibility.

Lynn Brown, vice president, human resources – UK and Ireland at XPO Logistics, said: “Through this scheme, we reaffirm our commitment to employee welfare and the environment. We provide [schemes] that simultaneously benefit our team and the planet. This initiative reflects our core values of innovation, people focus, and sustainability in action at XPO Logistics.

“The initiative combines substantial tax and national insurance savings with inclusive insurance and maintenance packages. It will boost employee satisfaction by providing accessible, eco-friendly transportation options. This holistic approach emphasises the organisation’s focus on financial and environmental benefits.”
