Employee Benefits’ owner, Centaur Media, raised £21,400 for Cancer Research UK in 2011.

The organisation committed to pay £5,000 a year to the charity for two years, and to match any funds raised by staff up to a further £5,000.

Employees raised £11,400 in the first year for the charity, and Centaur Media made its full contribution of £10,000 making a total of £21,400. The cheque will be handed over to Cancer Research at the media company's annual staff awards dinner in December.

Staff took part in events such as Race For Life, Three Peaks Challenge and Shine.

From January 2012, Centaur Media will allow staff one day per year of paid leave to volunteer for a charity or voluntary organisation of their choice.
