This is the perfect position for someone who wants to explore unreleased and existing products while also having access to an extensive dental plan.
The business has started the search for the world’s first and only chief candy officer to work from home, or out of either Toronto for Canadian residents or Newark, New Jersey for American residents. There’s no sugarcoating on the salary, as it pays up to $100,000 (£64,868) annually and offers dental benefits.
Reporting to the business’ chief executive officer, the chief candy officer will be responsible for deciding which new products Candy Funhouse will carry, leading candy board meetings, being the head taste tester, and taking charge on all things fun. The position is open to anyone who has a love of candy.
The candidate will be put through extensive palate training, as their responsibilities include taste testing more than 3,500 products on a monthly basis as the head taste tester, approve candy inventory and reward spotlight treats, decide which new products the business will carry, lead the Funhouse candy strategy and run candy board meetings.
While no previous experience necessary, requirements simply include enthusiasm and eagerness, having a creative mind, a sweet tooth, no food allergies and excellent communication skills, and being a natural born leader who knows how to have fun. An interest in pop culture and media is also a bonus.
