BHSF's executives and staff have taken part in a 28-mile walk to raise money for the youth homelessness charity St Basils.

Two teams of six from the healthcare insurer spent nearly 12 hours on the road as part of St Basils’ Cotswold challenge, and raised £3,356.

The charity, which helps homeless young people in the Birmingham area, is one of BHSF’s corporate social responsibility partners, and the walk was part of the company’s ongoing support.

Peter Maskell, chief executive of BHSF who took part in the walk, said: “Everyone did very well and although some in our teams suffered quite badly, we can all be proud of our achievement. We are very grateful to all who sponsored us so generously.

“Like many charities, St Basils is suffering financially because of the economic downturn and the help this year is especially welcomed.”
