Care provider Anchor and gas distribution organisation Cadent Gas have been shortlisted in the Best alignment of benefits to business strategy category at the Employee Benefits Awards 2024.
This award, which is sponsored by Octopus Electric Vehicles, celebrates an organisation that demonstrates how its benefits strategy is aligned with its broader business strategy.
Judges looked at how an overall reward strategy, and not just one specific benefit, supports both an organisation’s HR and business goals. This could include improving staff recruitment and retention, increasing productivity, improving engagement, reducing absenteeism rates and implementing a staff buy-in for a specific or one-off project or organisational aim.
The full category shortlist is:
- Aberdeenshire Council
- Anchor
- Azets
- British Society for Rheumatology
- Cadent Gas
- Deloitte (UK)
- Mott MacDonald
- Northwood
- Sanofi
Energy supplier Ovo won the award last year as a result of its aligning its people offer with its clean and affordable energy for everyone mission. Its strategy included giving staff more choice, flexibility, green benefits and a benefits fund to either buy benefits or take as cash.
The annual Employee Benefits Awards is the event of the year for the reward, benefits and HR industry, providing the opportunity to recognise and celebrate organisations, teams and individuals that have made a significant difference through their reward and benefits strategies in 2023.
The daytime event, which will be held at the Honourable Artillery Company, London on Friday 14 June, will include a drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment and the chance to network with industry professionals. The after-party will feature live music and a funfair in the venue’s private grounds.
