Amey is to outsource its flexible benefits scheme, switch voluntary benefits provider and introduce financial education workshops for its 11,500 staff.
The public services provider is moving its flex scheme online with Thomsons Online Benefits, having previously managed the scheme in-house.
Mark Bradshaw, HR director, reward at Amey, said: “We will have more intelligent data so we can target benefits.”
Amey is changing its voluntary benefits provider to Asperity Employee Benefits in order to give staff access to a wide suite of benefits, including high street and supermarket discounts.
It will also increase its focus on staff financial wellbeing by offering workshops to help employees manage their money better, after running a successful pilot scheme in 2010. The workshops, run by the Financial Services Authority, begin this month and take place throughout the year.
The new arrangements will be communicated to employees through Amey’s monthly staff magazine.
