Akkodis, a global smart industry firm and part of the Adecco Group, has received the gold employer recognition scheme award due to its flexible working offering for its employees.
Distributed by the Ministry of Defence, the gold award is the highest recognition given to employers who demonstrate exceptional support for their employees who are part of the Armed Forces, including reservists, veterans, and their families.
Akkodis received the recognition as it encourages and supports its employees who serve as reservists, offering flexible working arrangements and additional leave for training and deployment commitments. Its dedicated recruitment programme was designed to attract veterans, promote the benefits of hiring and assisting them, and recognise the skills and experiences they bring to the workplace.
It also signed the Armed Forces Covenant as part of a pledge to treat those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and their families with fairness and respect in the community, society, and the workplace.
The award is part of Akkodis’ ongoing dedication to uphold the values of the covenant, support those who serve throughout their careers, and foster a culture of inclusivity for veterans, reservists, and their families throughout its operations.
Fabrice Boyer, senior vice president of global operations, UK, CZ, CH and Nordics at Akkodis, said: “We are incredibly honoured to receive the gold award from the Ministry of Defence. At Akkodis, we deeply value the skills, discipline, and leadership that veterans and reservists bring to our organisation.
“We recognise the contribution and sacrifices that those who serve make to uphold the nation’s security, which is why we have long been dedicated to attracting them and their family members to our business and continuously strive to support their endeavours. This award reflects our unwavering commitment to the Armed Forces community and creating a workplace in which they can thrive.”
