Zenith is boosting its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy by helping its employees to volunteer in the local community.
This includes working with Leeds Ahead, an employee volunteering organisation, to allow staff from the leasing and fleet management firm to attend the Make the Grade event at Cranshaw School in Leeds. Here, they made a presentation to students on what organisations look for in an employee and the different roles within an organisation.
Zenith has also partnered with Business in the Community (BITC) to help it to engage with other employers, schools and community organisations.
Tim Buchan, chief executive at Zenith, said: “We are very keen to ensure Zenith and our employees are able to give back to the community.
“By working with Leeds Ahead to provide hands-on careers advice, our employees can use the wide range of skills and knowledge they have gained in the workplace to benefit others.”
Sandra Delamere, national account manager at BITC, added: “We will be working with [Zenith] both locally and nationally to help it engage with other employers and community organisations in a structured way that aligns with its business benefits and demonstrates a positive impact in areas of greatest need.”
