White and Case increases pay for newly qualified solicitors

Global law firm White &Case is to increase the salary of its newly qualified solicitors as part of its commitment to the future of its employees.

From January 2021, year one trainees will receive a £2,000 increase from £48,000 to £50,000, year two trainees will see their pay increase from £53,000 to £55,000 and newly qualified solicitors will see their pay increase from £105,000 to £137,500.

In addition, year one solicitors will see their pay increase from £110,00 to £130,000, while year two solicitors will see their pay increase from £120,000 to £150,000.

The pay increases are part of the organisation's wider strategy to recruit and retain employees, alongside offering international and client secondment opportunities, discretionary bonuses and business development initiatives.

White & Case currently employs 400 lawyers in London, in addition to 80 trainees.
