Radio station operator UKRD Group has been chosen as the best mid-sized company to work for in The Sunday Times list of 100 best companies for the second year running.

The employers listed were commended in a number of different areas, including best for fair pay, and employees that are least tired after work, have most fun at work, and are proudest in their work.

In the eight categories, UKRD Group topped seven of them and came top in 48 of the 70 individual assessment questions upon which employers are reviewed. The judges were impressed by a number of different factors, including the organisation’s strong stance of wellbeing and the fair deal it offers to staff.

William Rogers, chief executive officer (CEO) at UKRD Group, said: “This recognition of the whole team, throughout the entire organisation, is an extraordinary accolade when you consider that this is the second year running in which we have been recognised as the top, first-place company on The Sunday Times Top 100 list.”

Second on the list is Pertemps People Development Group, based in Birmingham, which was ranked first for offering staff a fair deal. Employees, 62% of whom earn between £15,000 and £25,000, including employment coaches who can be expect to be paid £24,359 on average, are the most satisfied with their pay and benefits.

Brooks Macdonald came in third, followed by Metaswitch Networks and DRL (Appliances Online).
