Severn Trent Water has appointed MidlandHR to provide payroll administration for real-time information (RTI) reporting and auto-enrolment.
The contract, which will be in place for the next seven years, aims to provide payroll support through organisational and legislative change.
MidlandHR, which has worked with the utilities organisation for 10 years, has already supported Severn Trent Water through real-time information and auto-enrolment.
The organisation’s auto-enrolment staging date was April 2013, and it used the payroll provider’s iTrent product to manage its compliance with the legislation.
It also plans to hand over management of the ongoing auto-enrolment process to MidlandHR’s outsourcing centre.
Chris Blakesley, pay and benefits manager at Severn Trent Water, said: ”After undertaking an internal efficiency and rationalisation process, opportunities for greater efficiencies and cost savings were identified across the business.
“This changed the requirement for our oursourced provision, meaning that 900 of our 6,000 employees were transitioned onto a more comprehensive service level.”
