Rhyme Systems has launched a flexible working scheme, after a pilot helped it to cut sickness absence and improve performance.

The company, which designs asset management software, trialled the scheme on a third of the staff in its Birmingham office. After finding workers took fewer sick days and managed their time better, the company decided to roll out the scheme to all 75 staff.

Chris Potts, CEO, said: "The pilot has resulted in improved levels of trust between management and staff, which has led to a more motivated workforce."
