The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) has switched the provider of its employee assistance programme (EAP).
The physiotherapy union, which has 51,000 members, has appointed The Validium Group to provide the progragmme.
Andrea Barber, head of human resources at CSP, said that the union wanted to have a support service in place that would provide its employees with the information and expert advice needed to minimise absence rates.
She added: “Although we already had an EAP in place from one of the major healthcare providers, feedback from some staff suggested they were being discouraged from accessing counseling services.”
