Philips Medical Systems has introduced a voucher incentive scheme with rewards of £50 and £300 for staff who go beyond the call of duty. This follows an employee survey, which revealed that while the company was good at providing incentives like yearly bonuses, it was not so good at saying 'thank you' when employees did something worthy of immediate reward and recognition. The awards, provided by Ovation Incentives, will be presented to employees face-to-face by managers where possible, and details of voucher winners will be publicised in the company's monthly e-newsletter.
