Pay and benefits are the cause of most dissatisfaction among respondents, with nearly half considering a change of jobs because they are dissatisfied with their current pay and benefits package, according to research by Edenred UK.
The Edenred barometer, conducted by Ipsos among 7,200 European employees, including 800 UK workers, found that 39% of respondents are satisfied with their fixed pay and less than a third (30%) are happy with their variable pay.
The survey also found that:
- 37% of respondents are happy with their benefits package.
- Nearly half (47%) of respondents said pay levels are their biggest worry.
- 44% of respondents are unhappy how far their wages reached, compared to 37% in 2012.
Andy Philpott, sales and marketing director at Edenred UK (pictured), said: “After five years of economic squeeze, we are now really starting to see the pressure our employees are feeling.
“Employees think they are getting a raw deal when it comes to pay as the cost of living rises.
“This looks set to translate into an exodus of talent as nearly half said they are ready to move jobs right now.”
