O2 has added a health cash plan to its flexible benefits scheme following a review.

The cash plan is offered on a voluntary basis to the telecommunications company’s 12,000 employees.

The plan, One Fund, provided by Engage Mutual, offers a choice of six premiums, which provide an annual fund of up to £1,000 per year. It provides cash-back on the cost of treatment for a range of dental, optical, health screenings, consultations and counseling, as well as physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathy, with each benefit category subject to a £25 excess.

The cash plan was launched at a range of flexible benefits roadshows, one of which featured a visit from ex-England captain and current Leeds Rhinos player Jamie Peacock (pictured.

David Castling, commercial sales manager for the plan at Engage Mutual, said: “O2 was looking for something a little bit different to a traditional health cash plan, a fresh approach that would hopefully drive a better level of engagement.”

“We are thrilled to be working with O2 and kicked off our relationship by taking part in flexible benefits roadshows, which provided an opportunity to talk with staff across the UK, and highlight the benefits of having the plan in place to help meet the costs of their everyday healthcare.”
