MyRuby, a personalised call-handling company, has given its employees use of Nintendo DS handheld gaming devises to exercise their minds when they are not answering calls.
The company, set up at the beginning of 2007, employs ‘virtual’ personal assistants to take and manage business peoples’ phone calls when they are unable to do so themselves.
Each of the two teams of four have been given the handheld gaming device with a range of programmes designed for brain-training using simple exercises such as calculations and puzzles. Each of the eight employees has their own user profile on the Nintendo DS.
Natalie Perillo, managing director at MyRuby, said that employees are encouraged to carry out the exercises in their down-time when they are not answering calls to help them relax while keeping their minds active.
